WHAT A YEAR THUS FAR! "2020"
Hi everyone! My name is Isaac Miranda and I own IsaacMirandaFitness LLC and IMFiT Apparel LLC. I'm 26 years old, turning 27 by the end of the month (April 29th). I'm hoping on here to share some personal stuff with you all. Since Fall of 2019, a lot of things were coming together and things really got going for me mentally, physically and spiritually. Right around December, I heard something from the "coronavirus" and I really told to myself, oh they will fix this and it won't get out of control. Well, it sure did get out of control to this crazy global pandemic. Lots of countries are shutdown, lots of people are dying, and lot of people are suffering from not having the right resources or countries not being prepared for such a crisis.
We are facing some really hard times all around the globe and it seems like things won't be changing to normal ever again. It's sad I have to write about this on my personal Blog site but I figured it would be the best place to write what I truly feel deeply inside of me. Back in July of 2019, I decided to reach out to @Prepbywill to be my coach. The first two months were really on and off because getting back on track perhaps is one of the hardest thing we can do. Right around December, I started taking my prep so serious and really started hitting my macro-nutrients on point. Once we hit the 9 weeks out from my first show of the season which it was going to be the Salt Lake City Utah show, we started hammering the cardio and things really started to look great on a weekly. I was so stoked about it because it was the first prep ever I wasn't cutting carbs drastically but still making drastic changes weekly.
2 weeks later things started getting really bad in different countries and the Virus landed in the U.S. From 7 weeks out to 5 weeks out all I had in my mind was "Are they going to cancel the show?". Going to the gym everyone was asking me about it too and all I kept saying was, "I'm staying positive it will go on". Sadly two weeks after that (5 weeks out from the 1st show) the promoter and the IFBB Pro League announced that all shows till May 10th will be cancelled or postponed to a different date later on in the year. I went on a 3 day mental depression. I don't really share these kinds of things on my Instagram or Twitter because I try to be all about optimism and positivism but it's not always easy to remain positive. If you are a MP competitor, bikini athlete, or bodybuilder, you know how we go through roller coaster of emotions as we get closer to the shows.
It took me 3 full days to really wrapped my head around the situation we are all facing right now, all I had to tell myself was, I must adapt to the current circumstances and not just throw the towel. I spoke with my coach about how I was feeling and he definitely made me feel better. You know, all these shows we want to do will always be there, always. But that wasn't the reason why I was feeling down. The reason why I was mainly down was because this was the first time ever in my life I was doing well mentally and financially. First time I was actually going to be able to go to another state to compete without having to watch my pocket for all my expenses and have the worry about not having enough money. A lot of you guys may not know but I've basically been alone since the age of 18 years old. Everything I have built and accomplished has been from scratch and not handed to me. Through my struggles I've had to face in the past at a very young age, I've become this person I am today. This person I am today can be a total different one if I don't stick to my current goals. If I lay off my visions and goals because of the "Virus", then the Isaac I've been working on won't be the Isaac I want to be in the future. I'm well aware of who I am today and I'm well aware with consistency and perseverance I will accomplish anything I set my mind to.
To conclude this blog post, I want you all to know that I am staying home and still working on my goals, I will not give up. I bought bunch of equipment for my garage and it's working just fine. I want YOU to do the same. I want you to do your part and STAY HOME so we can help flatten out the curve faster. I want you all to think better, think clearer, and be more positive about our future. Read some books not just scroll down on your phone. Wash your hands constantly, don't touch your face, take your shoes off when you get home, and do your best to live a Healthy Lifestyle.
Thank you for taking your time out of your day to read or listen my post. I truly appreciate you all who support me.
